The dates for 2008 are May 17, June 21, July 19, and August 16.  Always a special event the night before with open practice and free camping available!!

The classes involved in the series will be Sr. Mediums 350# ,and JR II ( BLUE plates) 280#.( Ages 8 - 12 for these events only )

All other Sr. classes running on the Thunder National dates will earn $200 to win!

The Thunder Nationals consist of 4 events.  Competitors will accumulate points from each event.  Each of the top 4 in the points standings after 3 events will get a provisional starting position in the final event, if necessary.  The fastest qualifier of the entire series that does not make the final event will also get a provisional.  18 karts will start each event.   

The first 3 events pay a $1000 purse for Mediums, $500 purse for JR II.  The final event pays a $2000 purse for Mediums, and $500 purse for JR II. 

The first 3 events will be 20 laps. (NO FUEL STOP)

The final event will be 50 laps.  ( ONE PIT/FUEL STOP AT LAP 25)

The format will be time trials, one heat and the feature event.  B-mains may be necessary. 

Entry fees for the first 3 events will be $50 for Mediums, $40 for JR II.

Entry fees for the final event will be $80 for Mediums, $50 for JR II.

The purse is guaranteed for each event.  

Entry Fees for all other Senior-Level classes on Thunder National event dates will be $25.  Each of these races will pay $200 to win.   

Any parts manufacturers and/or retailers are welcome to sponsor any finishing position in any of these events including the final points standings with merchandise.  Your prize donation will be awarded in ADDITION to any award earned via purse and/or bonuses.
